My paintings and drawings communicate stories of the human spirit. The human spirit has a plethora of characteristics including thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Through observation and subjective interpretation, I capture the moments when these characteristics are being fully expressed. I often use close family, friends, and my partner as sources of inspiration. By using the human figure as subject matter, I can explore the complexities that come with developing one’s identity, how we feel connected, and how we relate to others.
