My artwork explores all aspects of my personal life and illustrates my observations of societal issues. I frequently depict a family members in my artwork either to capture their essence or to show the nature of my relationship with them. My artwork also contains sentimental value and function, such as memorializing a pet that has passed or expressing an internal struggle. The overarching theme of my work is to capture my perspective of my life and the world. I invite viewers to see life from my perspective. Creating has allowed me to cope with hardships, appreciate the beautiful parts of my life, and spread awareness of problems that are greater than myself. I feel that sometimes people are more willing to see and understand my views and feelings through art rather than words.
