At some point in all of our lives, we are faced with some sort of internal struggle. Just like having a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other, often times I feel my own greed and temptation pull me away from rationalization and inner peace. In this work, I represent my own inner battle by juxtaposing gold and white paint consuming by own body. Both colors have their own power over me, contorting my body in their respective favors. The push and pull within me are represented externally, as an unrecognizable form emerges from the inside out.
