I use photography to reflect on my childhood experiences of abuse and trauma, using color that I recall from this period to create my images. I reference objects from my youth in my images to try to make sense to how they fit into my adult life. I photograph colorful items as a way to keep myself in tune with my inner child. I hope to connect with others through my work to provide a sense of escape from the dull reality of the everyday.
