In my illustrations, I want to explore the limits of imagination. The imagination can be beautiful or unsettling, depending on how you use it. I try to maintain a balance between the two. I utilize figures like monsters, robots, aliens, and demons to represent people who differ from the social norm. My work attempts to give humanity to these “”monstrous”” figures and tell their story. I find that I relate the most to these types of characters, and subverting the viewer’s expectations is extremely satisfying.
